The Terrace

The Terrace provides the perfect setting for beautiful wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions.  From the oversized grand fireplace to the twinkling lights beneath your feet, this is a venue your guests will remember.

Our poolside terrace is the ideal location for your cocktail reception.  With two built-in firepits your guests will be able to gather around and enjoy the sun setting in the West, the glistening lights of our olympic size pool, and delicious appetizers and cocktails. 

Reception accommodates up to 700 guests

A venue unlike any other in the area, Barcino offers an open floorplan fully customizable.  For your ceremony, you will enjoy the grand open feeling of Barcino with 25 foot ceilings and windows allowing beautiful natural light from the garden.  For a reception, the restaurant would be privately reserved for you and your guests to dance the night away.

La Jolla Ballroom

Our La Jolla Ballroom is glass-enclosed and offers the versatility of indoor/outdoor flow, making it an exquisite setting for reception, dinner and dancing.  Overlooking the La Jolla Garden you have wonderful outdoor space with market lights where your guests can escape for a quick breathe of fresh air before they return to the dance floor.

Buffet casual & efficient, a great way to offer variety from regionally inspired cuisine to customized selections.

Specialty Stations interactive & innovative, perfect for multiple cuisines.  Offers versatility and the opportunity for guests to meet and mingle during dinner.

Plated guest are seated and served a three or four courses classic & elegant, single or duo option.  This style of service allows you to plan your wedding menu with confidence, giving you the opportunity to choose each course in advance.

Personal Preference allow your guests to personalize their dining experience.  Treat them to an elegant four course meal.  You choose the appetizer, salad, and offer your guests the choice of their entree, tableside with their server the night of the celebration.

Confirmation of Space and Deposits

An initial nonrefundable deposit of 20% is required to confirm your date along with a signed contract.

Final Payment

Final payment will be made via credit card and is due at least seven (7) business days prior to the wedding date.


Little touches can enhance your wedding– from late night snacks, to next morning brunches, to gift bags delivered to your guest rooms. Allow our team to embellish your experience with delighters to elevate your special day.

Guest Accommodations

A room block may be setup for guests attending your event. Check in time is 4:00pm, and check out time is 12:00pm. If you would like to setup a block of rooms, a minimum of ten guestrooms must be guaranteed or the prevailing hotel rate will be offered.

Rehearsal Dinner

Entertain your closest friends and family in an elegant and intimate setting, by having your rehearsal dinner in one of our private spaces. We will help you customize a menu and other details, so you can concentrate on your upcoming big day.

Family Brunch

The perfect ending to the perfect weekend.  Treat your overnight guests to breakfast the next day.  Your event manager can arrange for a private room with dedicated waiters to serve your guests.  This final touch will allow you to reminisce about the wedding and wish everyone farewell before you leave for your honeymoon.


The hotel offers a discounted rate for banquet events of $15.00 per car for self-parking and $25.00 per car for valet parking.  You may host parking for your guests or have your guests pay the discounted rate on their own.  Overnight self-parking is $30.00 per car and overnight valet-parking is $40.00 per car.
